Education & Advocacy

DMG CRS’ patient and family support structure include on-site patient advocates as well as support through our relationship with Raising Special Kids. DMG CRS patient advocates are charged with helping families understand the importance of proper education, promoting learning for their children, and assisting with involvement in their child’s lives as a student. Together with parents, DMG CRS provides advocacy with schools, training, outreach, and assists in preschool and high school transitioning processes and guidance. In addition, we assist in a young patient’s vocational planning and make arrangements for at-home education when the child is not able to attend school on a regular basis due to a medical condition.
